Balancing The Immune System
FOUNDATIONS FOR A STRONG IMMUNE SYSTEM
Let us look at how incorporating certain lifestyle practices and alternative health care can set you up for a strong immune system. Healthy habits and holistic alternative care can help give your immune system the support it needs.
To build a strong Immune System:
Fortify your body with high quality nutrients and whole foods.
Take steps in working in a routine that looks at all areas of your health, which will in turn help you in building a strong and resilient foundation of good health.
THE IMMUNE SYSTEM
The organs that are primarily involved in producing the specialized cells that govern the immune system are the Spleen, Thymus, Lymph Nodes/Lymphatic System as well as the Bone Marrow. T cells are produced in the Thymus and B cells in the Bone Marrow. T cells are in charge of cell mediated immunity, attacking foreign material. The B cells secrete antibodies that attach to foreign material and single it out for elimination.
The suspect foreign material is typically a protein called an antigen. The antibodies that are created in response to its presence are specific to that particular antigen. Antibodies are classified in 4 groups: IMMUNOGLOBINS: IgA, IgG, IgM, and IgE.
